What is this place?

It is the outcome of a choice I made one particular day. Coming back from a journey around Mali in West Africa, I quit my job in a corporation. In 6 weeks the first KOKOworld boutique was open. I have been fascinated by the idea of fair-trade even before I became a volunteer at Salezjan (Salezjański Wolontariat Misyjny). I was thinking of establishing my own business that would enable craftsmen from all around the world to sell their unique products. And then the dream became a reality.

At the moment my aim is to bring the richness of African, South American and Asian cultures closer to people from Europe. The richness of these cultures is embodied in the clothes and accessories that I bring from out there.

What does dressing up express to you?

It expresses the diversity of different cultures which I get to know during my trips and journeys. In the world of KOKO you will see only authentic clothes. I am searching for them almost on every continent, choose them with care and bring them here for you. In KOKOworld collections every item has its own story – about the people who made it and the culture it comes from.
